having sorted the car to my satisfaction, I am sick of the pipes grounding out on our wonderful smooth roads, I am now thinking of cutting the pipes off just behind "silencer box" and forming new pipes to exit just in front of rear wheel. Is this a stupid idea or to radical. All comment welcome, good or bad. Be gentle!

The bit that grounds is usually the front downpipe, which would still be there with your arrangement.

sitting here with nothing else to do, think the pub must be shut. Its definatly rear bash plate that hits the floor. suspension has fairly new AVO's fitted so ride is hardish, and not at fault. Never had downpipes hit the deck, maybe i am driving to slow- not!
