What does everyone use to clean their engines?? Mine is dirtyish but I am concerned that if Iuse a cleaner that needs to be rinsed off with copious amounts of water the TVR electrics will play up!!!

Just been to the Essex meet and V8Smith had his bonnet up .... and whilst it will take me time to get the braided hoses etc.....there was no dirt!!!! Didn't see V8Snith around to ask him what he uses to keep it clean though.....

Depending how dirty your engine is, start with "Gunk".

If it not that dirty to start with, lots of elbow grease.

I use WD40. Seems harmless to virtually everything in a motorcar! Definitely removes all engine related dirt. I work it on with a paintbrush and clean it off with paper towel. It is a bit time consuming, but leaves a protective coat and makes everything look shiney, but not too overthetop shiney. Probably does the electrical contacts a bit of good in the bargain.

Thanks for the comments Paul, I guess that was your tidy S3C parked opposite mine then???? We must have had lunch at different times as when I came out you had gone? Shame you didnt get chance to say hello and thanks for the nice comments about my car, its getting there!

I will check which engine cleaner I used and post it tomorrow but basically a spray on wipe wash off jobbie!! No hard work involved, just ask Mr Sheen, I wouldnt get involved in elbow grease??

Hope we can catch up at another meet

Jizer is excellent and if you apply some then leave it to soak you can rinse it off with some more Jizer in a squirty bottle.
