V8S cooling hoses
Discussion
Does anybody know what vehicle the cooling hoses are from on the V8S. I suspect the majority are Range Rover but I am unsure if they all are. I note there is one supplier that can supply a full kit of silicone hoses, but £169 + vat is a little steep, unless there are some real benefits to having silicone hoses that I am unaware of.
Hi Paul
I'm pretty sure some of the hoses would be unique to TVR as the arrangement of cooling system to engine would differ from any donor car. Aside from longevity I don't think there are any other advantages to silicon hoses - well maybe availability.
I went with ACT which is probably the company you're referring to. They can make them in black if you ask (should you not like the blue they show online). I'm pretty sure they made them with the wrapped effect for a while - I saw them just after I'd replaced mine and was a bit gutted I'd not known of them. Take a look at the effect on the following link. Again, Worthing asking Tim at ACT.

Don't perish, rot, crack, split, virtually ever-lasting?Possibly cheaper to build a kit yourself with hoses from somewhere like AP Motorstore

Or rummage around for all the correct hoses in "rubber", many of which may well be old stock and already "past their sell by date"
