Who fancies a TVR PH attendance at the Donington Park, Castle Donington, (Derbyshire) National Kit & Performance Car Show, this will probably be during September next year?

There are many, many sports cars at this show (it's not dominated by kits) and there are loads of trade parts and accessory stands and trimmers who'll make carpets sets during the show and exhaust fabricators and petrol tank fabricators etc as well as other events like timed circuit races etc. There's a good range of food available and you can wonder around the owners cars, the car manufacturers stands, the specialist part suppliers, or the race and show events etc.

You can camp at this show too, we'd just need to book us in with the organiser (limelight exhibitions) who'll reserve us our own area to all park in and you generally camp adjacent the area. You don't have to camp though, a local hotel or travel lodge is another option if you don't want to slum it!

Nobody?

After all we do all drive a mass produced kitcar so don't let that put you off

Seriously, I went last year and it was a good weekend giving plenty of ideas and alternatives for suppliers etc there's plenty of interesting things going on all weekend and there were a number of Tivs there but no S's except mine of course which received lots of attention!

Please be assured though, it's as much for small volume or sports cars as it is for kits.

Will I be the lone S parked with the other unusual motors again next year?

I hope not....

Great idea. I for one have been to many of the shows, sometimes showing cars my father has made as complete one off vehicles. Some very good sights, ideas and inspiration to be gained. TVR presence would top it off. Like Kentish says, TVRs are almost kit cars, and certainly the early ones were!!!

Sounds interesting . Why do you have to book space?
& does that mean you need to know who`s likly to attend now .

It could be a good excuse for a night under the stars,
but it depends on how it ties in with S club 2005, take that as a tentative yeh.

Hi Dale,

There are club areas of varying sizes (usually) so it's best if you have some idea of numbers especially for the camping and whether tents or caravan/trailer tent etc although I can't say I've seen many S's with a tow bar fitted

I don't think we'll need to confirm numbers yet as I checked the organisers website and they haven't even posted the date for 2005 yet so it's early days but I was wondering whether it's of interest to a number of us.

There are also sports/alternative/kit shows at Detling in Kent and at Stoneleigh and Newark county showgrounds but the last 2 I mention are more kit orientated than sports/classic, so probably of less interest.

Billing Aquadrome is a good meet and purely social, no trade stands or manufacturers when I last visited that one (a few years ago now). Anything goes there really, sports, classsic, kit, exotica, ex-army etc ....anything! But it's purely a meet to look at cars, chat and the odd competition and loads of booze and BBQ's.
