S2 in classic car auction on Dec 8th

Nice looking S2 in the H&H classic car auction at Buxton on Wed 8th see classic-auctions.co.uk.
The guide price was around £6000 which suggests a reserve of £5500.
It looks very nice from the pics

Nice looking car, the colours not to my taste but it sounds OK.

It sold for £5000 plus 7.5% buyers premium
The chassis was sound and it had been resprayed in the last couple of years or so which made it look good in pics or from a distance.
But as soon as you got close there were many stone chips and scratches saggy doors and seats needing repair.
In my opinion it was an expensive buy in need of tidying.
