Hello Kevin
Your taillights mate,Am I right in saying you got them from Direct Car Parts ?
Which ones were they ? Red/Smoked or another?
They have some demon blue ones that would look great on both ours but not street legal by the look of it so no bl**dy good at all!
Thinking I might fork out on a set but they are not cheap are they!
Cheers, Tim.

Hi Tim,
You have a good memory
Yes they were from them and cost around £160ish.
I bought the fully smoked ones but have since used a red lacquer on the stop/tail and fog sections and now they look different to most others out there,I like to be different

This photo is a little dark but gives a good idea of the look.

The full smoked look was nice but I noticed the Bib look at them a few times and I know they weren't road legal. They still aren't really but it doesn't look so obvious now.

I don't see why really as long as they show the correct colour of light. The only thing with them is that the reflectors don't!
So, I'll probably stick a couple below the bumper trim before the next MOT. Been looking at Alfa 156 reflectors, they'd look good IMHO.

Hello Kevin
Think I have other things that are a priority as always but still might get a set of the smoked/Red tail lights one of these days, they look crisper and more modern than the orange indicator lens sets and only half the price! Think I will go for the power boost valve you rated first to help my tickover.
Got a question for you from your bonnet up picture...
whats the black box mounted on the offside bulkhead by the brake servo?...A flight recorder?
Curious
Cheers Tim.

Hi Tim,

Well the car does fly now since fitting the PBV
But ...No, it's a crappy non-working Ford alarm, I have a CAT2 immobiliser only at the moment. Planning to fit a decent alarm at a later date.

I agree about the lights, if I was buying now I'd plump for the red/grey combi and much cheaper too.

Hi Tim

I have a set of spare red/grey lights in addition to the ones I have fitted.

They are Ford units with smoked indicator and reverse lights, if you're interested?

Hi Steve

Thanks for enquiring but....
To be honest, they'd cost about £10 to post and that would make them not a great deal cheaper than the set Podie posted a link for and they're new ones.

Hi Kentish.

Sorry for delay..been a bit busy and not got to see PH postings for a few days.
Yep,I am interested in lights and can pop over to pick 'em up.
Just seen your post on your weekend door re-hanging sounds as if all was a mighty success.
Does that mean I can't any longer borrow your hands,(...and now your experience)whilst I adjust mine or are you free for an hour or so at a weekend soon?
Changed my TP back to the Cerbie again incidentally as the Ford one was playing up first damp morning!
Racing away at 2000 rpm until it got warm.Quality product!
Cheers, and let me know if you are free for a pint.

Hi Tim

My doors aren't perfect but are very much better, it doesn't have to drop a great deal to drag on the sill, what a pain!

I'm still happy to lend you a hand, no problems there (I just got a bit carried away when I took "a look" at mine). Just give me a shout a week or so before so I can plan ahead and we'll have you sorted too, wait 'til you see my angle grinder!

Lights are no problem, we can sort them out at the same time. A beer down the road will be nice too!

The cerbie TP is still a spare for me at the moment but I wonder how long for??

I won't have my car this weekend as it'll be at the garage having the new custom exhaust system built but hopefully (if it fits), I'll be OK for the following weekend, 5th/6th Feb.
