Hi all
I thought I should probably introduce myself as I am likely to be on here a lot asking foolish questions and otherwise generally displaying my ignorance.
Some of you may know the car, as I am the lucky chap who bought Nigegas's car from him. Hopefully he'll see I'm looking after it...!
So far I'm just driving round in a pansy-like way getting used to it. Loving it so far. It's my first TVR, but a friend of mine has just bought his Chimaera back for the second time so I have been around them a bit in the past.
I look forward to picking your collective brains in the future...

Hi and welcome to the S mad house. There is a great collection of knowledgeable folk on here ready to help/ take the mick/ laugh with. Enjoy the S and don't be afraid to ask questions, however silly, I still do 2 & half years on.
Better still come along to one of the meetings and share the fun, see the events wiki at the top of the S series forum.

Welcome aboard Jon,
It's lovely on here when you get used to it
There was a thread running on here within the last couple of weeks about bonnet alignment. Try the search facility on here at top right of the page, just enter "S series bonnet hinges" or even "s series bonnet alignment" or suchlike & you should get a few results to trawl through.
ETA: I just had a look, the topic was "Bonnet Stuff"
Or you can click on the " Useful Links" topic heading & find owners blogs, can be very helpful to maintaining your S.
There is a wealth of information on here.
Also worthwhile getting hold of a copy of "the Bible", The TVR S Series by Steve Heath.
EBay, Amazon, or through the TVR Car Club.
Have fun

Welcome Jon, nice to have you join us. There is a wealth of knowledge recorded on this forum and if a Search does not turn up the answer, then I know the guys on here will be more than happy to help.I thought I should probably introduce myself as I am likely to be on here a lot asking foolish questions and otherwise generally displaying my ignorance.

Don't forget the only foolish questions are the ones not asked.
Happily, I got a bible thrown in with the car, so I've been doing a lot of reading of both it and this forum.
The car itself seems nicely sorted, so I'm looking at getting some tarty things sorted first (bonnet gaps, new window seals, wheel refurb and the like), which should be nice - cosmetic things are great as they're instant win!
