Off in a few hours to get the car back- fully serviced/MOT'd/Outriggers Tube replaced/Geo'd. Mat Smith says car in good working order now.
Feel like a small boy on Christmas Eve all over again! May have to take the long way home me thinks

She's back- I had forgotten what it was like to drive a decently sorted car: engine smooth as a tomcat pissing on velvet again,no stalling or hiccoughing, no springy rebound at the back and best of all only a couple of small chips in the paint + small increase in size of an existing gel crack the only damage falling the excursion backwards into the hedge!! I must be so jammy perhaps I should spread myself on toast.
All set for TGTVR ride out next month; let's hope the weather is kind to us on the day.
