Started by dropping then fuel tank because it was leaking, decided while I'm there to replace the open diff with a LSD version and now thought why not refurbish the trailing arms.
So I need advice please, fuel tank is out and so is the old diff and mounting brackets. I then decided to disconnect the rear brake pipe and four bolts connecting the hub to the trailing arm and stupidly thought the drive shaft would just pull through the training arm but this does not seem to work.
1) Do I need to undo the big hub nut to remove the drive shaft from the trailing arm ?
2) How do I release the handbrake cable from the backplate ?
3) What spanners do I need to remove the trailing arm bolts ?
My great idea was that I would dismantle the bearings and rest of the driveshaft whilst off the car with the trailing arm still attached given there was no way of stopping the driveshaft from rotating.

1. No. Disconnect the CV joint and drive shaft(6 Torx or Allen bolts) then the bearing carrier will come out the front once the brake back plate is un-bolted (I think!!!)Big nut doesn't have to come off.
2. H'brake cable is held onto the backplate by a C clip
3. Bolt heads are 13/16, think nuts could be a bit larger, 7/8?
