NEW - seat belt mod Grp buy bolt requirements

I've been asked about sorting bolts .......
I can get 7/16UNF x 3/4" Hex Setscrew in stainless Steel (18/8 A2 Grade, fully threaded) @ £0.65 / each
Please let me know urgently either way so I can get the bits together for Burghley - I do have a day job on top of chasing you monkeys
Cheers,
Max

You need to check the grade of these setscews, 18/8 is the material, A2 is the corrosion resistance.I can get 7/16UNF x 3/4" Hex Setscrew in stainless Steel (18/8 A2 Grade, fully threaded) @ £0.65 / each
Not sure what the strength grade of seatbelt bolts is, could be 8.8 or 10.9. If its 10.9 you won't find a stainless alternative.

Agreed - even if the standard is 8.8 then the stainless replacement should be A2-80 or A4-80. The 80 is the important bit. Not sure what the strength grade of seatbelt bolts is, could be 8.8 or 10.9. If its 10.9 you won't find a stainless alternative.

Max, if you have been working to the original drawing.....isn't 3/4" / 19mm a bit short?
by the time you have a washer and the seat belt itself that must be about 6mm? leaving only 12mm in a 22mm deep hole?
And definitely too short if people are looking to also use them for attaching the brackets to the body?
Not going to get into the "stainless or not" thing, suffice to say I'm happy that my delicate little body, even flung forward by a head on crash is not going to snap the head off or strip the thread on a 7/16" stainless bolt, but everyone must make their own minds up.
Another option........ seat belt bolts.
