Hello All

After a few recent attempts to purchase an 'S' I have a potential V8S (1992) lined up.

The only problem is that it has the Cross Spoke Split Rims (OZ?), and they don't really do it for me!! Am I completely crazy to think that I could source a set of the standard 8 spokes to replace the Cross Spokes?

Would it be more realistic to try and get one here, and one there and eventually end up with four??

Are the Cross spokes generally considered a bit grim?

Any guidance/advice gratefully received.

First welcome to the S fold, good luck with finding a car you wont regret your purchase as long as you dont buy a pig!?

You are correct in thinking the OZ 8 spokes are rare but they do come up for sale from time to time. I for one am looking to upgrade mine to the 5 spoke Chimaera alloys so they do come up for sale, there was a set on Ebay last week. As they are rare dont expect them to be cheap, Bell Hill garage in Bristol sell them at £400 each normally though I would expect the price to be between £350-£500 per set of four depending on condition.

Good luck with your search, great choice the V8S although I am biased!

Hi,

Not trying to hijack the forum but this is the 3rd time I've come across the price of £400 for our wheels.

This is not the case and never has been.

Larry has Emailed me and been given prices. If anyone else would like the correct price please give me a call.

Best regards

Tom

Definately horses for courses. My Black S1 has the OZ multi cross spokes you remark on and i believe suit it very well. Not aiming this at anyone but fell that some alloys, especialy after market ones look like a vain attempt to make it look younger.

Hi Tom,
Good to talk to you BTW, if I can be of help in the future just let me know.

I do recall being told by someone, that for a single wheel for insurance purposes it was £400 a wheel! £250 per wheel does seem more realistic, although many will still think its a bit expensive, but they are rare I guess!

YHM, I look forward to seeing the pics..

Bell Hill Garage

Just wanted to add, I've dealt with Bell Hil and found them straightforward and fair with realistic price ideas.
