Valeting The S
Discussion
After next wednesdays Rolling Road session, Martin Pennington will be "detailing" my S next thursday
He'll be doing the work at Austec if anyone is interested in meeting him, or checking out his amazing work etc.
I had no idea the process was so in depth
1) Washing the car
2) Claying the car (new on me!)
3) Pre wax cleaner
4) Sealer and glaze
5) Carnauba wax (paste)
6) optional reflections finish
Was speaking to Ray about the Yellow Peril the other day, saw his post-detail pics - and wow!! The car takes on an amazing highly polished and reflective very wet type deep shine. Ive asked Martin to supply me with everything I'll need to maintain and keep improving upon to the finish in the months ahead
He will be taking pics, which I will share when finished
Pies/Wildfire/anyone else use the mothers range of car care products??

I'd be interested in what this contains as well as the results and pictures after the work is done..
Tripps, ask Ray (Peril) about the work done on his Cerb. You could get martin to work in 8 hours of his own magic, then take his advice and do what is necessary yourself to maintain the finish, perhaps going back to him yearly if desired
Pies, can you host pics for me when my S is finished?
re: cost, Martin assesses each car, prices are reasonable, but more importantly for the money you are left with a finish that is second to none. Contact him for details

I've seen the yellow peril at the last Essex and is does look the business, forgot to ask about costs then. An annual super-clean with maintenance tips sounds ideal for me

Your cerb should look better than it did when new, even if it was THE Demonstrator, all buffed up for a motor show launch with zero miles on the clock.
Martin explained some of the testimonials he has had, the likes of rolls royce and other companies telling him they had never seen their own show cars looking anywhere near as good, compared against themselves after he had worked on them. The more you work his stuff into your car after he has finished, the better it will look.
It certainly sounds (and going by pics also looks) like the best service and treatment available. I will post pics when the job is done. Going by his reputation, and photos, he certainly seems like the best man for the job, a worthy investment for sure.

Bob,
Can you post before and after pictures, and an idea of price - I know it depends on the "before" condition, but this sounds like something I'd be interested in.
Thanks,
Martin
