any-one got a broken bonnet they don't want

I need to modify my bonnet to fit over my 24v engine and so looking at obtaining a broken bonnet to cut up and fit to mine....would love a V8 one

you should be able to mod your's, it's only fiber glass, how mutch do you need to mod it.

probably a mix of the 2

I think the scoop needs to be more to the centre and probably a little wider also needs to go further forward.

Will have aplay on Saturday cutting thin strips of metal and bend to shape or wire mesh to do same?

definately open to suggestions

Will bring my old scoop with me to cut up for bits, don't think we will need the metal bits,
Will need some 4" selotape to seal off where we cut and refit bits (resin wont stick to it).

not sure about 4" selotape but have plenty brown packaging tape if that's a reasonable substitute

Hi Mick.
Brown tape no good, the styrene in the resin causes it to crinkle up, selotape is ok, if you put some fibreglass on selotape when it's set it pulls off nice and smooth
