Boot keeps popping open.

Samy keeps popping her boot open. Just started doing it in the last week. Is the clasp adjustable at all?

You can jiggle the catch and the thingy on the boot lid around a bit but try checking the spring and also the wiring around the solenoid and the switch. If there’s a loose connection somewhere it might be triggering the solenoid.

Checked the wiring et al and it's still popping open. I think the latch has just worn out. Does anyone know if it's the same one as on the Chims? TVR U0617 ? Does anyone know the original source for them? Not that they're hugely expensive but it would be nice to not dwindle the modding budget too much.

Simple answer probably checked already but it isn't a dry catch, just not releasing is it? WD40 to the rescue?

Just a thought; check the emergency release cable to make sure it isn't jammed and stopping the catch from engaging fully.

All checked and lubed. I think the catch is worn.
