For a long time I've had a small (1" long) tear in the rear screen of my S, where the stitching attaches it to the fabric. The rest of the screen is in good condition though.

I've noticed that the tear is starting to grow - caused by the stress placed on it every time I fold the screen down.

Any ideas if this is fixable rather than replacing the whole screen? I've heard of a product called Perfect Glue (from Liquid Nails) but it only seems to be available in the USA.

Some Googling has revealed this site which seems to do a number of glues that all sound OK for fixing tears. I was thinking particularly of 'Plastic Weld Solvent' - but there seem to be so many to choose from I was wondering if anyone has used any of these products and could recommend one?

Isn't plastic weld solvent for joining plumbing joints? I don't think you will have much luck with any glues/solvents as there are no surfaces to overlap and 'weld' together. When this happened to mine (roof down on a very cold morning - CRACK) I just used some of thick transparent tape (DIY shops) to make a temporary repair and stop it getting worse.

That's the problem - I've really no idea as to the intended uses of these glues - there isn't enough information on the website to make an informed decision - and they don't seem to want to reply to my enquiries.
