15 x 7 standard oz spokes with 225x60x15s with 20mm spacers, just squeezed under the arches.
Seems to fit the tyres on wheels ok, although this was done by previous owner.

I had 15 x 8 on my v8s for a few years. Offset was 15 so no problem with clearance on the inside but with the 225 wide tyres they protruded slightly from the arches. It did look pretty mean though! Never really had any issues with rubbing.

Hi Mick,
Just got to go to 17" or even 18" to look right.

Question for Alan or some other knowledgable chap..

V8s has wider rear track but only 7" rear wheels iirc could you put 8" rears with correct offset to achieve same thing and as a bonus have wider rubber back there?

I don't think the track would be quite the same but pushing the outer edge of the wider tyre in the same place as the v8s should improve rear end stability surly?

Thanks

Damian

I have 2 sets of 17s too. But I want to use Minilites - I do have 6 x 15s which I will use for the front
with 195/50/15s.

Must just add, 15 inch tyres seem to command a higher price, whatever the width, so if changing the wheels its worth looking at 16 or 17 inch cos tyres are gonna be cheaper. Or so I have found.

Hi Damian
Not sure about the track difference, I thought they were the same, I have 9 1/2" rear wheels with 255/35/20 tyres and 20mm spacers. Had to do a arch mod to keep the tyres inside the arches.
Had to use spacers to clear the callipers as the tyre is 20mm from the trailing arm

it is amazing the power of 'google'

Yes 8 x 15 ET30 will fit along with 225/50/15s

compared to the current 7 x 17 ET35 with 215/45/17s with 20mm clearance to the inner arch lip

no spacer and will be within 2.5mm to the inner edge of the arch lip

just need to save some money

Just a thought. ... These great people have a huge range of wheels and tyres, some as end of line special offers as well as competition specification combinations. I have been to them for my SS exhaust creation and fitment, which proved to be better than I ever imagined, but while there I browsed amongst their selection of performance goodies, everything you did not realise that you really do need, at prices not too scary.

They are based in Wrexham North Wales, a great drive out or they do mailorder delivery.
I have no connection with DemonTweeks, except being a happy customer..

Hi Mike.....good spot......I've used DTweeks for years - mostly for their rally gear. I bought the seats for my S from them.
