After a while looking, and a few near purchases, I finally have an 'S'.

It is a 1992 V8S in Cooper Green .

I drove it back to Kent from Lincolnshire on Saturday, and then drove it a bit more, and then Sunday some more. It is wicked, oooh that noise....

I can't wait to get it home properly - currently living round the corner, as our new garage is not quite finished.

I am hoping to do a few bits to get it just right-

(1) Replace roof stays with brush ali griff/chim type.

(2) Replace wooden TVR steering wheel with leather TVR steering wheel.

(3) Replace OZ Split Rims with OZ Eight Spokes

Larry, do you know how to upload a photo to your profile (any questions just ask, we are a friendly bunch). Your V8S is a year newer than mine, how many miles has it done, and what is the general condition of the car and the interior like? I would imagine you have been too busy driving to have taken any photos yet

Guys - Thanks for the warm welcome

Derek/Mike - Thanks for your mails, I will reply later tonight.

Paul - I'm based near not so sunny Maidstone.

My 'S' is going into David Batty's for a few bits and oil/filter change next week, and then there will be no stopping me

I hope to get some photo's taken and in my profile over the weekend!!

Cheers

Larry

P.S. Would you recommend getting a spare throttle cable for that moment of need?

Snap (and I don't mean the throttle cable) So am I, great another V8S to come out to play. Mines a Monza Red one, we must get together for a hoon, do you go to any of the local meets?

There are a few of us around the Kent, Surrey & Sussex area, I don't know if you have seen it, but there is constant talk of a meet at the Grasshopper in Westerham over Christmas.
Cheers,
Paul

Just had a quick count up, 2005 should be good for a S hoon if you are in the K,S,S area. Have I missed anyone?

V8Smith - V8S (2005)
Pies - V8S (Standard )
OldRed - V8S
F908Tim - S2
larryb - V8S
Flygirl - V8S
WildfireS3 - S3 (2005)
UKBob - V8S
KentishS2 - S2

We could start our own breakaway S - Faction!
