You might want to check if there is any contact between any part of the arm/blade with the rear edge of the bonnet, and if there is what you want to do about it. This is what I did

Here's mine: driver's side.

Not a pretty sight, both sides were almost seized solid when I first bought the car.

Bodywork may well be the same but note early cars (S1 ?) had a linkage type mechanism whereas later cars use a flex drive and wheelbox's.


Rubbish photo but this is "work in progress", making a recess on drivers side of bonnet to clear wiper spindle. Original bonnet cleared ok.... differences over the years
