That's not the right part. Burtons don't sell the right part. Are you suggesting that can be made to fit, by changing the pedal end of the inner cable, and modifying the outer mounting at the other end? If that's the case it would be helpful if people knew that it's not a straight swap.

The same eBay seller was also selling what looked like a new throttle cable. Click the link on eBay to see all his items for sale.

Appears to have gone now (sold ?) but I think that was also a "you may be able to make this fit" cable scratchchin

Last direct fit cable I saw on Ebay was megga money!

Hi all.
Yes, the cable I sold was a "make to fit" one.
It was great to meet scubaman yesterday who drove all the way from London for some of my S parts. A very nice chap indeed!
I was going to use a Capri 2.8 cable and weld the ball joint of a ford pedal on to the S one.
I see no reason why this cannot be done and it would also eliminate the rather crude "hacksawn slot" TVR method of attaching the cable to the pedal. At the engine end, either a smaller square holed plate could be fitted to the cable bracket or you may be able to modify the nylon screw fitting off the old cable as the Capri one is slightly smaller.
More food for thought?
Chris.
