That's the guy, very stripped out "minimalistic" engine bay, and wasn't he the first winner of the Clarence Boddiger award?
...he was....I was aiming for it, but one look at his engine bay and he was the worthy winner....everyone who looked in his engine bay said pretty much the same thing...."there is something missing"... Answer was ...most of the crap; pipes, battery, etc....a special car...and vey innovative...Alan461 said:
Looks like the most logical design, i like the R clips for extra quick bonnet release.
The downside is they were built on the car so have little or no adjustment should it be required.Quick release

how often does the bonnet need to come off? Four bolts don't take that long to remove compared to the time it's going to take to do whatever "major surgury" once it's off.
Good for a race car I guess.

Mike, thanks for the carpet set
You're welcome, glad they found a good home.Phillpot...'The downside is they were built on the car so have little or no adjustment should it be required.'
I thought this and then pondered that its mounted on the existing box section and could slide up and down? but mostly the plate clamping the bonnet vertical face itself could mask some larger than necessary holes? and this would allow a 'release the bolts, wedge (not using a tasmin obviously) into the correct position and do the bolts up?' adjustment?
what do you think?
