Pedancy aside a nice episode for us. Repeated on Quest +1 at 8pm. It may also be 'on demand' on questtv.co.uk which is a new service started recently.

I didn't even think the S2 was as much as that. The S1 was £12,995 when it came out (less all the add-ons) and I thought the S2 was £1k more than that.

I didn't catch it all, but there was not a lot about checking the most important component - the chassis.
In his sales spiel at the end, did Mike Brewer mention it had a replacement chassis? It didn't look that new to me.

From memory, a new S3 was around £17k in 1990.

An S1 may well have been closer to the 12k mark ex-factory when it came out but the price list here puts an S3 at £18,230 on the road. Interesting to see the price of the extras and the V8.

I presume those episodes were shot 4 or 5 years ago ?

I wonder where the S2 is now, & whether 'Rob' is still the proud owner.

Nice colour by the way smile

For anyone who hasn't yet seen it (can there be anybody who hasn't?) the two programmes are on again tomorrow (Wednesday) at 6pm.

Why didn't he take the bonnet off to do the rad and the other jobs?

Does anyone know where this car is now?

I used Tim's search tip to find this. So maybe it does work after all thumbup

Looking at those price lists - did anyone ever order an "ice detector" or heated seats or still have those options?
