Rolled it out today for a final blast in the sunshine before SORN. Got two miles down the road and thought "hello", the bonnet seems to be moving strangely. A quick look underneath and it appeard the fore/aft stud had snapped. Got it home and found it had just unscrewed. No time to fix though so had to do the trip in the Toyota. Not happy! I really must do more miles in it next year. This year's excuse(s) was refitting the kitchen and bathroom. Not bldy good enough. I know! What we need is a nice long trip to somewhere exciting That's your cue Longers

As we no longer need a paper disc, wouldn't it be so much easier just to be able to buy a day or days over the internet as required, like the congestion charge? Ah but then that would be a tax on usage (like it's supposed to be!) wouldn't it, rather than a tax on ownership. Thieving basds !!
