V8S AFM - standard or not?

Hi

I've been told by garage that my AFM may be on the blink so was looking to source a replacement. It's a 3AM model.
I've read all sorts on the forums and seen some comments about a standard meter not being right and that TVR adjusted the standard one to suit their mapping of the ECU. Unless I misinterpreted what they meant and it was the actual ECU that was adjusted to suit the AFM output..

Any opinions on this?.
