Cheap Brake Upgrade
Discussion
An S owner would also require the rear carriers, callipers and splined shaft ends. Plus hand brake cable.
That said, a patient ebayer could get that lot over time. Modding a standard Ford handbrake cable as per threads on here.
As ever, decent pads and the front upgrade would be worthwhile.

NB An S1 or S2 owner would definitely need these bits. S3 (?check) S4 & V8 hubs will take discsmk1fan said:

Lots of historic threads on this Forum for anyone considering this mod.v8s4me said:

S4 had [well was suposed to have] discs on the rear already.Samy (S3C) needed the carriers. Sorry, I used disc carriers. There is a bracket available to convert the drum brake carrier to accept the calliper.
I have been tempted with the alloy carriers - price wise they are not much more than the standard cast carriers with new bearings fitted. Lot lighter though. I may do this if I uprgrade the rear discs to the larger / vented size. I'll see what funds are left after the rebuild.
