Dear friends
It is with very mixed emotions that I write this post.
After a lot of soul searching I have sold my S.
Those who know me will understand that me and Matt have had some wonderful experiances and made some great friends.
The S is a great car and the guys on this forum are brilliant.
Good luck to BLO4NDO (Paul) the new owner.
I wish you as much fun in the car as I had.

I wish I had the space and budget to keep the car.

The search will now begin for my next "toy"
The heart says a Tam or a Griff, but I cannot rule out a Porsche, S2000 or a Jag XKR.
It will be a blast test driving the cars.

I will continue to read with interest what you are all up to and will of course see you at Burgley House.
Best Gary and Matt

As an owner of both I can say that there is a definitive step forward in the the Tamora handling.

That aside, they are both a brilliant laugh.

Sorry to hear you've sold the 'S' but I hope you and Matt stay with us whatever you get as a replacement. After all, we let Chims come on Tour so a Porsche is not much of a stretch! laugh Good luck with your search and I hope you get a good one whatever it might be.

Sorry to see you part with the S Gary (and Matt) - doesn't mean we lose touch. Be good to see you at Burghley and whatever you get I'm sure you'll have as much driving fun, but you'll never get the camaraderie anywhere else.

Tamora is where I'd go personally if moving up the family line.

Good luck in the search.

Max

Better be a Tam or a Griff then so I can take some more pictures.... Will never forget you and Matt on the Scotland trip breaking out the yellow shirts. If you can't find what you want then just let Matt bring his toy :-)

Gary and Matt

Sorry to hear you have sold the S, I was wondering why you had not signed up for this years tour. Regardless of whether you actually have current ownership of an S, once you have been inducted into the S clan, you never leave, it is for that reason you will be expected to attend S events at every opportunity, you will both be made very welcome, but you know that don't you.

Whatever you decide upon, please make sure you keep in touch with us all. As has been said above, you'll be back.

Ever considered a V8S?

Just sign up and if you haven't got another "proper" car, come in the daily driver. You know you want to...

It woz the Norfolk TT 2014 wot dun it, wasn't it Gary!??

Once you had that little run at the wheel of Dale's Tam.......
music "The smile on your face let me know that you loved it", etc..... cloud9

It was the beginning of the end.......

Still, the Tam is the next logical progression from the S, so I reckon that's the direction you really want to go.
After all, it's got to be a TVR, coz anything else is just a car.

We won't miss you because you are not going to be able to stay away, are you?
See you around this year.

Fish & chips? wink

So which one of you is paying my commission...?! hehe

I know this wasn't any easy decision for you Gary. Hopefully Matt will soon forgive you! Is this just a ploy to get him to take his car on your next Euro Tour so you can be the one to have an afternoon doze while the miles slip by?

Without your S we'd not have met or shared the good times we've had together. Here's to our next get together on 11/4 beer

Cheers,
L'rs

Longer's statement has just hit me like a bullet between the eyes. I guesss I always thought I had met a great bunch of blokes who all hung around PH on a forum, not considering that the S was the real catalyst, duh!

Off to the garage to give the car a bit of a thankful hug whilst realing from the thought of what might have been. I might have become a weekend gardener or a stamp collector. yikes

Hug an S this weekend and spare a thought for Gary and Matt and others less fortunate than ourselves who don't have one of these great little cars in their garage.

Sad news mate, but life is too short so get whatever takes your fancy. Looking forward to catching up with you both soon and be sure to post pics of the new Griff/ toy when you get it.

Cheers, Stew and Karen.

When I sold my beloved S3c I bought an S2000, there are similarities in that they are both cars dominated by their engines, I'll admit that I couldn't afford a Griffith but having said that the Honda is more usable. Life is too short and all that.

Cheers.....Tony..

Having been in exactly the same position not that long ago I know exactly how you're feeling buddy. Tam of Griff would both be an awesome choice!
