I am trying to source a replacement door mirror (S2 Wobbly Type) as some scrote nicked my passenger side one on New Years Eve !

I have tried both David Gerald and Tower View who both say they supplied their last ones recently.

Anybody got a spare or does anybody have any other suggestions.

Bloody twats aren't they, it probably wasn't pinched for anything other than said twat being an ars*hole!

I think the S1/2 mirrors are on a par with rocking horse manure, I changed mine to Audi TT mirrors and then sold the original ones a few months ago and I had loads of calls for them. To be honest the original mirrors are pretty dire as they move around so easily and are flat glass. You get a good view of the sky, the road or side of the car but rarely the car behind!

Perhaps it's now a good time to convert to a different type?

Try here for 10 pages of mirrors:- www.europaspares.com/

Click on On-line shop and then scroll down to mirrors and external.

I fitted the "Vitaloni California Sports Mirror" (on page 10) before changing to the Audi TT mirrors and they were very neat and really suited the S. No photos of these on the the car though ...sorry!

I already had the TT mirrors and they were rather expensive so I fitted those instead.

Edited because link didn't work!

What did you have to do in order to fix the TT mirrors in place? Have you got a close up photo of them so we can get a good look?

Roy.

Sorry, no real close ups yet and I need to just finish off the trim around the mountings but this will be done after the respray later in the year.

I'm glad I spent the time on fitting them, I have caught them on the garage door frame the first time I was reversing the car in and they just fold forward without damaging anything other than paint, they also fold back of course and are electrically adjustable and heated. I find the little convex part at the end is really useful for seeing all of the outside lane on motorway or dual carriageways ....not that I'm in the inside lane very often

From what I`ve managed to see of them in your photo(s) they look pretty good. I think I might have to do something similar myself. Some close-ups would be helpful though I think.

Hi Roy,

I have saved a new photo to my profile.

This is the most detailed photo I have of the mirrors presently, does this help?

Yes, thanks. I just wanted to get a better view of them to see if I liked how they went with the rest of the car. I like them a lot. Just need to try and source some now. Think I`ll make it a project for next winter.
