As some are aware, i have been lurking for some time, carefully considering my options for a V8S.

I thought about the Kerridges car over 12 months ago but it was too expensive in my mind for what it was.

I thought about restoring a car but to do this properly the cost was prohibitive.

I nearly bought Tink's car but in the end he loved it too much to part with it......cannot blame him as it a fantastic car.

Today my search came to an end as i bought Stuarts ( Mohitos ) car - its absolutely stunning! cloud9

I wanted the best i could get and i truly believe that this car fits that bill - its not a matter of what has been done to it, more a case of what hasn't!!

Thanks to all that helped me with my search, especially to Simon Spencer who, whilst winning past concours events, may have some serious competition in the future whistle

Intend to go to SPA in May so may see some of you there driving

Beat me to it Tony!

A sad day but inevitable unfortunately. I passed my V8S to Tony, its new custodian today.

I'm certain it's gone to a great home, where it'll be used, enjoyed and pampered. It's also nice that Tony lives near Blackpool so the car is returning home.

Thanks to all of you who have made owning the car and being part of the S fraternity such an enjoyable chapter. In particular, Simon, Paul, Longers, Joe. And countless others who have helped me along the way. The S enthusiasts are a special breed.

Most of my ownership experience revolved around the car's rebuild. The Euro Tour last year has left me with some really special driving memories, so cheers to that thumbup

I'm certain you'll all make Tony feel very welcome.

And now just the memories remain wavey

Stuart - really sorry to see you had to part company with it. I know it must have been a tough decision. Do keep in touch with us though.

Really sorry to see you leave the fold Stuart, it was great spending time with you at the various events, I hope to see you around when I am in town. Hats off to you for what you did with the car, your patience is astounding, I know it was a long wait for the finished article, but by God it was worth it, Tony has a lovely car there.

Tony, welcome to the gang, there is an excellent wealth of knowledge on this forum and a friendly bunch to boot. I'm sure if a search on the forum doesn't throw up the answers you are after, one of us will be able to help. Hope to see you around soon.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

Was fairly late when i arrived home last night so left the car in the trailer - will put it away later today.

Hope to get some decent runs in this year and look forward to meeting everyone at some time.

What's the avaialbilty of space on the Euro tour? Looks like a real blast.

Are there any events scheduled for the birthplace of TVR's......Blackpool?

Cheers Tony

Sad time's Stu but as we have discussed for a long while now, had to be,
all be it very reluctantly. frown

Really great to meet you mate, sure we'll be friends for a long time.
Any one who's mad enough to do what we have done, have to have
something in common wink

Sure she'll be in good hands with you Tony. As I said during our past
12 months conversations finding one you must go and see Stuarts, she
was a no brainer to buy. Well, as you couldn't prise ours away from us wink

Great bunch of guys the 'S' owners on the PH forum.
Vast amount of knowledge between them and always around to help
when it's needed.

Look forward to meeting you Tony at the up and coming events
and Spa Classic. thumbup

Cheers guys.

Yes, probably have lost my marbles but my journey with that car more about the strive for perfection than anything else.

As sad as I feel about it, I also feel liberated from that process!

And with a number of other changes coming up in my life soon, I just couldn't anticipate finding enough time to truly use and enjoy the car as it now deserves. I'm sure Tony will do that in abundance, which is no more than she now deserves.

Don't feel too bad for me - I still have a couple of nice toys to keep me occupied thumbup

That's a lovely car you've got. But are you sure it's a V8? I was in the same group as Stuart when we crossed the Vosges last year and "your" car wasn't any quicker than my V6. Probably down to the driver though, he was probably more used to a German car with lots of driver aids hehe

Stuart, you must be gutted. I know this has been on the cards for a while but, like you said, you still have other toys in your toy box wink

The Parade Laps at Spa (highly recommended) are selling very quickly. The Euro Tour was full but I think the hotel that wouldn't give me any more rooms a month or so ago might be willing to if I ask them again. Drop me an email if you're interested smile

That's odd as I distinctly remember how deflated you were when myself, Paul and Simon were outpacing you on that pass confused
