Second time around, bidding reached £3302.99 just before Christmas, apparently the winning bidder reneged on his bid.scratchchin Probably an ambitious price for an S requiring work for MOT and recommissioning.

Still, it could be a nice project for somebody at the right price Barry wink

Well, it’s not far to Chelmsford from yours, is it?

"Front left tyre ( continental, reinforced wall for roundabouts )" confused Not sure what all that is about, but I would recommend any prospective purchaser to renew all the tyres after that S has been laid up for a long period.

And if the tank cradle needs repair, I would check those outriggers and trailing arms VERY carefully.
But I hope somebody comes along to save it. The vendor sounds like a nice honest chap.

Yep, if there is rust there then there will be rust somewhere else as well. Maybe that's why the original buyer backed out?

Go on Barry, you know you want to laugh With the way prices are going it might be better than an ISA. That's not financial advice by the way smile

smile We could do with a bit of poetry on here. Far too many prose if you ask me wink

I wonder where he got his figures from? Did he count my "Tasmin" amongst the S1's remaining?
The true answer to "How many left?" is - Nobody knows!

TVR record keeping was not too accurate, they had various names for the same type, so a bit chaotic. I think it all depended whether it was the tea lady, an apprentice, or one of the secretaries who nipped down to the DVLA office to register that week's production batch.

I wonder if the vendor would report me to eBay if I bid on it?
Not that I would after my exhaust fiasco frown
