Gear Knob again...

Could this be adapted to fit a V6?
If the threaded hole is smaller perhaps it could be tapped out?
If larger then an insert put in?
...and am I correct in saying the V6 lever has an M10 thread?

Yep, "standard" M10 x 1.5

Perhaps your car will be different, but I found the usual ball-type gear knobs left about 15mm of change lever visible between the ball and top of the gear gaiter.

In the end I had to get one made up (although seeing pictures of other peoples, it may just have been my car!).
