Hi there,
I have a tiny motolita in my S1, really tiny, caterham size I guess,
I'm thinking to change it for something bigger (14'), not a big fan of the original 4 branches steering wheel either.
I was thinking of finding a 3 branches chimaera or griffith steering wheel (Personal I think) . Will the hub fit on my S ?

Cheers from Belgium !

All S series used a Ford Sierra steering column, I think Chimaera/Griffith used Vauxhall so hub fitting could be different?

However later S series had a three spoke Personal steering wheel not too dissimilar to that used on those others.

outside diameter is 340mm......

Why not just get a larger Moto-Lita wheel?. There are plenty to choose from.

looks very nice indeed, but not sure the retro look really suits the s1 dashboard ...
btw is that a 13 or 14' you have ?

Mine is a 13" but if I was buying again I think I'd go for 14" because the rim partly obscures the tops of the dials.

If you think mine's too retro and want something similar to the "Pesonal" how about this one
this one or this one. Pricey though, but they do come up on Ebay eg. There's a Sierra boss on there at the moment. Now they don't come up often.

At these prices though you might as well buy from Moto-Lita direct and get the grantee.

Can I ask a steering wheel question.
I have an S3 with the original leather covered "personal" wheel...is this alloy or steel?
If alloy then I would like to remove the black finish on the spokes and polish it shiny (i.e. like the Motolita)but,if steel, obviously not.
Any thoughts?
