If only Clarkson had chosen (been allocated?) the TVR instead of that other chap, what's his name? wink

Value would surely have doubled,at least!

Maybe Mike. Either that or the car would have been trashed and only been fit for the garage in the sky by the time he'd finished with it wink

Must admit (wait for the hails of flak!) I have become a bit bored with Top Gear. Am I getting too old? Seems to me to be more about the presenters than the subject these days. Got a bit above himself has Clarkson.

I'm with you. Too many repeated ideas when there is no shortage of exciting new performance cars coming out and yes, it's now more like "The Jeremy Clarkson Show". It's another one I record and fast forward the "banter" and the "star-I've-never-heard-of in a reasonably priced car" bits. Leaves about 20mins worth watching which means I can cram a lot of telly into an hour and allow more time for playing in the garage laugh

JC would be hard to replace in many ways. However, Top Gear badly needs re-inventing. It has become less about cars, and more and more about 'the three stooges' building snow ploughs, ambulances, campers, cutting down rape seed and various other nonsense. Some weeks the show is quite watchable, other weeks it is utter rubbish - and I'm a Top Gear fan!
Maybe the plan is to get more non-petrolheads to watch the show and increase the ratings, for me personally, they are killing the show.

Personally I couldn't give a @#%$ about reviewing a new mondeo or focus or whatever.. I like the mix of specials on week interesting cars the next.. The tvr would not have been on the show without the British classic car one.

Read a bit of the back story on the incident and it's not all as its been reported. (Is anything nowadays?)

For me Top gear dies without clarkson hell he only sold it back to bbc last year. I suspect it wouldn't take much for him to retire given bbc will have much more influence on the show now.

It's All very sad I hope it goes on.. Stupid knee jerk reaction by bbc IMHO blown up by good old social media.

Well said. The BBC should just tell the two of them to go out in the car park (play ground) and sort it out. It's a sad state of affairs when hand-bags between two grown men (school boys more like) makes front page news.

Dunno but next time I will have to try and get the BBS's properly in focus so you can see what your car really looks like with a set on !

Fairly boring Sunday without TG to watch though even if it is BS it's one of the few programs on that regularly features interesting cars TVR or otherwise...

Wasn't helped by the boring first F1 of the season. I am a fan but I only just managed to keep awake!
