V6S reluctant to start when hot?
Discussion
This seemed to be about as common a a duff TP. Lots of comments about it a little while ago.
Has anyone discovered why and resolved the problem yet.
To recap....
Starts on the first turn of the ignition key when cold but is reluctant when hot.
My thoughts are: -
a) Possibly dirty injectors.
b) A coil that's not in it's prime of youth.

It's not the coil. Mine still does it even after a new coil. Not that it is reluctant, just spins over once or twice before starting, where as it fires on the turn from cold.
My coil is brown, as in "rust". It looks like the original to me
So, I may as well eliminate that for what little they cost. I think it will not make any difference, see what it's like after new injectors I guess.
It always starts but not on the button like it does when cold, it turns over 3 ro 4 times when it's hot.
The other possibility is that the ECU is not richening the mixture enough for hot starts, I wonder what sensor gives such a signal. There may not even be any sensor for that, to be honest I don't know. It would be unusual on a EFi car to not have some sort of temperature sensor that tells the ECU to weaken or richen the mixture for cold/hot starting. Anyone know an answer to this?
