Evening Peoples.

Moved onto Samy's rear over the weekend. I have replacement rear dif mounts. The rear looks an easy bolt off, bolt on affair (with the fuel tank out).

The front mount frame looks a bit trickier though. I have a refurbished item to swap in. Getting the existing one out looks a bit involved compared to the rear mount. Do I need to disconnect the prop shaft?

If I do, do the driveshafts need to be disconnected too and the diff removed to enable the mounting frame to be removed? Or can they be left connected to give enough space to remove the mount frame.

To be clear, I am changing the entire frame not just the two rubber mounts.

Thanks.

Can I reuse the propshaft bolts with some thread lock?

I was hoping to avoid taking the drive shafts off. But then again it's not that big a job with the car in the air.

Thanks.

Yes (imho) but remember thread lock only works on nice clean threads wink

Not trying to get the prop out, trying to swap the front diff mount.

Looks like I got a bit more work to do. smile
