Its been a truly wonderful 6 months since purchase, and a fantastic introduction to TVR! I've enjoyed every minute of owning my V8S and will miss it dearly, doubly so as it was my first ever car (weep sob snivel, wipes nose on oldreds sleeve)

I dropped the S off at Austec last night, to have its UKBoB pop-n-bang map removed ) My only regret during ownership was not being able to make it to the big S meet of 2004.

I would buy another tomorrow if I had the money, and although over the moon with looming Cerbera ownership, Im deeply saddened at the thought of loosing the S forever.

About the Cerbera! I pick it up on Saturday It the exact spec I wanted, right down to the last. 98 4.5, Galio Fly Yellow with a gorgeous mint condition prussian blue full hide interior, low miles (18.8k) AC, 18" spiders sports pipes, a FTVRSH and 1 years warranty from dream machines

Needless to say, it's being decatted as we speak(!) for max pop n bang effect

Thanks to everyone for all the help and friendlyness from the S forum, Im going to miss being an S owner for sure.

what friends, down where, and kindly address me as Sir in future

Jokes aside, the S forum is the beSt forum. Nicest people, friendliest vibe. Ive heard other people say the same I'll miss your wisdom, kentishs mass postings, oldreds humour, pies smiles and polish advice, mikes latest shiny bits, I could go on but ive got a vat inspection to prepare for on friday morning and Im doing a 6 month return myself (no time to get everything to accountant and book keeper is on holiday woe is me and all that

The cerb will be a well deserved reward after I get through this by myself, IF I make it past friday alive! Like you say though, I'll always be an S owner at heart

Good luck to you. I hope one day to join you on the cerb forum some time in the very distant future!! I've seen a yellow cerb local to me and they do look stunning. I hope you enjoy it as much as the V8s (which I would love to have bought myself if I'd sold mine in time). All the best mate.

Thanks Harry, I was pleased enough with 8k but am sure I should have got another 1k off the 24k cerb price. Just wasnt in bartering mode, desperate to buy etc. Not kicking myself hard, but those whove bought and sold more than I have all agree that I should have got the 995 off the cerb.

What do you recon then, dealer = +2k for a V8S? I would have thought it £3.5k for a V8S, maybe +5-7 for a cerb?

Thanks Chippy, Preciate it I wish I could have sold her to you mate, or another PHer. If a cerb is what you really really want, then a cerb is what you'll get

They do look stunning though (engaging mega drivel mode)... I dropped off some papers at the dealer the other night, and found myself standing looking in through the showroom window...

We all think our TVRs are "the best" - just looking into the window (here comes the mega drivel bit) the yellow cerbera at the back of the showroom stood head and shoulders above all the other newer grey/green/etc/ TVR's in the showroom for me It looked sooo evil, alive, I actually heard it growl "buy me!"

Ive always felt the Cerb has more road presence than any other TVR built to date, bar none. Just MHO though!

That said, its another TVR. Any TVR will always be 100 times more fun than your average £equivalent. This was the best one I could find for my budget.

Whatever you get, enjoy, and have fun!

Ahh bless, you've got me nearly as excited as you!

Oi ...what mass postings ....I'm a helpful and friendly fella

I think we all enjoyed your car with you, remembering back to your initial queries pre-purchase and your new driving experiences when you got your V8S and subsequently with the upgrades etc

You'll be missed here mate, you've a great sense of humour!

I wish you all the best with the new Cerbie (sounds terrific), well done that man ...and hope you check in here and let us know how you are getting on from time to time.

It's always nice to see posts here from our old friends such as Podie, FarmerYellow, Tripps etc etc.

Take it easy in your new P&J until you get used to all that extra power!

Cheers,
Kentish

Arrrgghhh!! Begone fould traitor!!! (point to the door)!!

No really good to hear you've got the Cerbie you wanted Rob. Sounds like a good car as well, low miles and with Spiders. Nice.

I'll have to pop down in the mini and see which one is louder

Is wondering why the "pops and bangs" had to be taken off. Did the dealer refuse it ?????

Good luck with the Cerb. I'm sure you'll enjoy.
Echo all the other cautions re: the right foot!!!

Remember, the most important nut in the car is the one holding on to the steering wheel!

Bu66er - can't believe you sold the S before my (wife's) lottery jackpot win materialised!

Have fun in the Cerbie, but I'm sure that goes without saying!

Aww guys thanks, all misted up Its been such a fantastic experience, and Im gutted that I wont be an S owner, halfly because being you lot are tops and I wont be part of the S club! Again to all of you (except wildfire ) thanks for everything! I shall always have a parking space for an S in my heart, especially if it pops and bangs

After the first pop and bang map the car juddered. After the third rolling road it still juddered, but not as much. Paul at Austec didnt notice, but when it does happen it happens! The dealer didnt know of the fault, but I want the next owner to be as happy as I was with the car but - its not right to sell on a juddering S. Austec have been fantastic throuought

I'll be at dream machines early saturday morning (if anyone local wants to pop down see you there, I'll also be there at 5:30 tonight ) I'll be back with a report on the cerb sometime over the weekend!!
