I'm sure you find loads more when the lump's out.
Unfortunately it is at a specialists, so I was thinking more along the lines of what should I get done rather that what should "I" do.
If it was at home, I'd probably take the body off as well and fettle the chassis. But alas no.

Yeah
A granada cossie can be as cheap as that and if you swap engines the granny would still be worth £500
Isn't the wiring loom significantly different? I seem to recall that it's not a straight swap unfortunately.
absolutely correct
the guy who fitted the cossie engine had to completely rewire the system and get a custom exhaust built

Get the three angle valve jobbie done… Ask Paul V...
I trust they can extract the studs with the heads in place, otherwise why not just remove the heads. If you are thinking about having head work done leave the block in place and just take the heads off.

Or buy a spare set of heads from me!!
I actually have the 3 angle valves in my mini, along with polished, ported ports, polished and optimised combustion chambers, light weight cut down valves , double valves springs and and extra head stud. All for £500.

Richard at RT Racing says it is less hassle & expense just to pull the lump out rather than taking the heads off. He has an engineering company coming in on Monday wh have a machine that can remove the studs with the heads in situ.

This cannot be right - unplugging everything, lifting engine, disconnecting from gearbox etc etc. Taking the heads off is surely a much easier proposition (and cheaper)...
