Got my S back from Austec tonight, after its final ECU tweak! I was plagued with juddering from the outset - the local indies coudnt diagnose (leads, sorted by austec!) and then after the first rolling road it was pinking badly, sorted by austec!) and then was plagued with juddering from the pop-n-bang map, which today was finally sorted by Austec!

Mega happy/gutted, the car is running like a dream now on top form(!) never EVER felt better(!!!) But I have just 1 day of total sortedness remaining before she goes I do hope when dream machines sell up, the buyer is a PHer

A thousand thanks to Austec Racing for sorting her out, they have been fast to diagnose and sort every niggle on the car, starting with the electrics gremlins right down to the last.

Tonight we literally arrived just as Paul was pulling out, had we rocked up 6 or 7 seconds later we would have missed him!!

Out of interst Bob what were the final RR figures before you hand it over . I know it was a very strong car to begin with and I'm sure it may help Dream Machines shift it, when they realise it's probably got more power than most 450's out there .

Inference was that the prospective buyer wouldn't be interested in the higher power output, IF they played golf, as the Chim has a larger boot.

Jeez, nowt like ruining a joke, is there Harry..?

254bhp and pinking with rotten injectors. Before they were cleaned (£250!) paul said he was confident he would find 6+bhp... the rolling road was not giving proper figures on the last run, so Im guessing 260bhp now. The Austec RR had something wrong at the time which prevented real figures from being obtained.

With trumpets and other bits, it has a lot of potential. Just waiting for a dwarven golfer to decide that with seat cushions and pedal adjustments, a V8S is the best thing to do

Pity about your timing TBH Bob… if you'd done this after I sold the S3c, I could have been REALLY tempted.

Still… love the Chimaera
