It would appear that the majority of posts favour a central venue.
Silverstone or Gayden are prominant, some favour a large pub but no concrete proposals have emerged.
I suggest that you now vote for the venue, so that
availability can be checked.
Once the votes are counted we can decide who will organise the event and when it should happen.
What do you all think?

If requested, I will help in any way I can.

Gets my vote as does Gaydon! If the venue is good we could opt either way for a weekend stay - hence other attractions!

Either venue sounds good, an overnight stay with nearby attractions..ie.pub would be great

How about meet up Sat at Gaydon (hotel overnight) and hoon over to Silverstone* on Sun,so those that want a 2 day meet can and those that want one can do either Sat or Sun

*assuming Silverstone TVR will want us

All I can say that Silverstone done us proud last year....
Gaydon appear to have may years of experience holding meets for all types of cars....

So the venue aint a problem to me.... (No help at all really)

Hoons will be good, with a few to many beers in the evening....

I used to live a couple of miles down the road from Gaydon and depending on the number of attendees, accomodation might be sparse.

I know most places in the area if anyone wants some advice and I know some very nice pubs! Proper Beer.

There you go, how about making a weekend of it.
Saturday at Gaydon, Sunday at Silverstone.

I should however point out that this could dilute numbers on each day because of the people favoring one venue.

Gaydon sounds good to me,I only live about 6 miles from Silverstone but as strange as it may sound I still like the idea of Gaydon

So bugsy, is this you at Gaydon last year?
If so I remember talking to you.{I mean is this your car)

Mike
Gaydon has big parking area, grass for trade stands, very good museum and a restaurant on site.
Paul (farmerY) also mentioned it has a track some were but you would have to chase him on that.

Gaydon gets my vote.
Last year the East Midlands TVRCC met there and we had a pre booked parking area on the front lawn instead of having to share the car park with the masses.
As a block booking we were given discount on entry into the museum. There is no charge for parking

Note;
They have a TVR Tasmin in the museum that was bought by Leyland for evaluation with thoughts of producing a fiberglass sports.

At this early stage, we seem to be getting a good number of votes for Gaydon.

We don't appear to be getting much comment about a two day event and Silverstone.

I wonder if a two day event is a tad ambitious but I actually fancy it myself.

Whichever way we do it, we need really good organisation and I think we need 3 people to do this.

Does anybody want to put themselves up for the organising committee?
