Does anyone know what make / model / size the wheels are on the V8S at the bottom of Page 11 of the Second Edition?

To me they look so much better than the OZ spokes and the bendy Chimaera wheels. I'd love to find a set.

I dont have the bible to hand but IIRC the only other wheels they fitted to a V8S were the cross spoke OZ rims, is that them?? If so I know LarryB will have a set for sale rather soon?!

They're five spoke alloys in the pic, which seem to match the beefy look of the V8 in a way that I don't think the 7-spoke OZs can. 7-spokes make the car look smaller in my eyes. These wheels give it more muscle.

At least, in the pic they do.

It's a car on a beach of some kind.

I don't have the book to hand but the 5 spokes were fitted to literally a couple of V8's (including mine).
To answer the question:- they are OZ wheels as fitted to early 4.3 Griffs.
I'll upload a picture to my profile, are these the ones you are referring to...

Weren't they the same ones fitted to the S1's , not seen them on a V8S though.

Note to self.... remember nothing is standard on a TVR, even on the same production run .

No, I don't think so. The spokes are too thick and flat. They also seem to radiate inwards (towards the engine) from the central bit, whereas in the Bible pic it looks like the centre is similar to the Chimeara 5-spokes but the spokes are not bendy and radiate out from the car slightly. Not an 'in-y' but an 'out-y'.

I think the car is actually red (I seem to remember seeing the pic in an old Sprint) but is of course b&w in the Bible.

I wish I had a scanner...

UPDATE: I can't find the pic online anywhere.

Oh, the reg of the car is, I think, J8 AGP or similar.

Perhaps it might ring a bell?

Thanks.

I have emailed him through his profile. I see that he bought the car in 2000 with the wheels included, so he may not know.

If they were not fitted to many cars, I'm starting to think they are likely to be rare and hence very expensive. And hence a non-starter.

The wheels in the pic are TSW Stealth , if I recall. A friend of mine had those on a Jetta GTI 5 or 6 years ago. I dont think there current.

This looks like there current range.

Anyone know what the offset is on the 7 spoke OZs?

Apparently TSW Stealth's are ET30.

The wheels on my S1 are TSW Stealth which as far as I know were a dealer fit from new. I have a lot of documentation for the car but nothing about any replacement wheels.
I've always been pleased with the look of them and they are very easy to clean.
They are still available and not that expensive.
