I see Bob's V8S is up for sale at Dreammachines. £9995 doesn't seem like a huge mark-up when you consider 12 months warranty....thought it would be higher.
Still...if only I'd had the money to take it off his hands last week...what a steal it would have been. Maybe one day.

Now where can I get £10K, a 2nd garage and a good reason for the wife before it sells?

I'm amazed the price is that low, I'd have thought that would be achievable easily for a private sale - perhaps the dealers struggle to value/sell the older models now?

Tony rang about, told me other dealers who buy V8S's offer 5k-7k from the buyer. He wouldnt have bought an S if it wasnt PXed against a 24k cerb. I think he just wants to shift it, the price is excellent and with a warranty... you cant go wrong!

Seeing the S brings tears to my eyes, not quite but almost Theyve taken the gearknob my girlfriend bought for my birthday off (dont buy rickbrook, i wear no rings on my left hand, but it was badly scaratched in 4 months of palming it). I also took the engraved tax disk off before the switcheroo to cerb, another pressie from the girlfriend

I cant believe how gutted I am to see it up for sale either, girlfriend will be emotional when she sees the ad for sure

Still, Ive got the old plastic hand brake lever stuck on my toilet, so I can remember the good times after a good cp when I flush.

Just out of interest, have you asked pies if he'll help with a note on his site, theres always the chance that the owner will maybe stumble upon it one day... (and then be pounced upon, and dragged kicking and screaming into the madhouse that is the S forum )

Speaking of the S forum, it should be quieter now that we've both sold up and moved on, funny how that isnt the case though

Glad they've kept it in the main dealer network and it didn't go to some non-specialist garage as trade-in.
Very reasonable priced too IMHO, particulary when you factor in a 12m 'defect rectification promise'.
I also see they've mentioned your chip and the power output , perhaps someone wanting to upgrade their performance from a 400 or 450 might try it and see what a lighter and more powerful car can do .

In an ideal world I'd have a cerb and a V8S, yet again I think I'll run the V8S for another year, but a cerb is on the horizon . My hand will be forced by next years Le Mans, when both boys will want to come with me, that or we'll have to go in the family lugger .

The car should *definitely* be putting out 260++ has been for a while, but austecs RR couldnt give me accurate figues on the day

You and me both mate, if I had 20k Id pay off the cerb and buy the V8S back tomorrow!! Come on Harry, whats the plan - selling the V8S to buy a Cerb even this year praps?

iof you consider I paid £8500 for my S3 from a dealer at the height of Summer ( and only 22,000 miles) then the price seems fair........ as it is mid winter.

If it was July then it would be different of course........
