Hi,

I've ordered a set of stainless steel bolts off eBay. The guy normally provides them for Essex engines but has agreed to do me a 'cologne special'! He's asked me for the length of the inlet bolts, but I'm not sure the ones he means. He said it's the ones that bolt the inlet manifold to the block... I measured the really long ones (155mm) but he said he didn't mean those...

Anyone know which ones he means, and know the length of them measuring from under the head to the end of the bolt? I'm not with the car now so can't do more investigation!

Thanks,

Andrew

Looking at this............

exploded diagram

there are two shorter bolts 85 or 83 mm and five long ones 155 or 153 mm and also two studs, one at 81 or 82 mm and the ither 152 or 153 mm.

Good luck wink

(personally I wouldn't bother, a lot of expense for something that barely shows)

I doubt bolts that long will be "off the shelf" so could be expensive?

Off course you could make some.....

cut appropriate lengths of this

and tightenen, with studlock, one of these on to each one and "voila" stainless bolts scratchchin

(used this for the long alternator mounting bolt)
