Hi guys a little help if you could?
Just preparing to put the body back on the chassis, and looking at the point behind the seats on the body, it looks irregular as though someone has put filler around it?
Does anyone have a photo of what it should like please
Does the body have an additional thickness to the fibreglass?
All help would be appreciated
Thanks

Have you got original seats in your S? Or has somebody glassed over original seat mounting holes and drilled new ones?

They aren't original it's the vertical seatbelt mount.
The drivers side, looks like a layer of fibreglass has been cut away.
The only thing I can think of is someone has tried to repair the mount with the body on ?

Sounds possible. So what is now the anchorage point for the seat belt? Something solid I hope

Quite possible, damaged the fibreglass and then clagged it up with filler. Think I'd be inclined to scrape/sand it back and see whats going on?
How does it look from the inside?

Mike, that's me that has filled that, it looked like the outer layer of fibreglass had been cut away.
The underside also looks like it has been messed with, so I guess I will have to see what it's like when I lower the body onto it to see if it sits ok. If not I will need to do something, maybe glass some steel in ?
