Fan override switch - idiots guide
Discussion
Basically, the otter switch connects the fan to ground. So, you could also trace the brown/green wire back to a point close to the fan relay, connect one side of your override switch in parallel to this point and the other side to a (good) ground. Consider using an illuminated switch.
I'm thinking of an illuminated 20mm round on-off switch and matching LED light to come on when the fan comes on 'naturally'.
May put them up in the dash, rhs of the rev counter.
I'll make up a fly lead and connect in at the otterswitch. I'll loop the black wire into the earth stud behind the battery.
What do people think?
What colour - green or blue?
