TVR S Canopy rubber seal

Hi Guys, just replaced a rather old rubber seal on the canopy , struggling on how it finishes when it gets to the ends on both sides , does it just get cut straight off , there was a short piece of foam underneath the both ends of the canopy ( only visible when canopy is open, does this get glued to the rubber seal ? If anybody has a photo of how it should look when finished properly that would be great , thanks Craig
