It was a good turn out for the S'ers today at today's meet.

I hadn't realised you were heading across to Saltburn, otherwise I might have tagged along - it could have been a 3 car convoy.

...bearing in mind that most S's look too high, I am not sure it is actually too low...It looks good to me

Are the tyres low profiles, and so lower diameter overall?

What are the actual dimensions of the chasiss to the ground and the exhaust to the ground?

215/45/17 but I'm looking at 225 (or 235)/50/17 (rear) and 205/55/17 front for my next set

front of outrigger 140mm
rear of outrigger 133mm = now I see the problem - which the change of tyres should help

also found an exhaust hanger split and hanging down

Looking at the suspension wiki and my Outrigger dims... 170 to 190mm... So yours are lower

...yours look better, but you will need some solution on the exhaust height to stop grounding...

yeah.....the tyres I'm looking at will raise the rear 20mm which will give 145 front 155 rear

still lower than most so will see how it goes

When I had the geo setup done at a well respected TVR indy. He said that to set the ride height too low would result in the the geo going out with the rise and fall of the suspension .

As the bump steer takes you off the side of the road smile

ETA I agree it looks better and had sought to get mine lowered, but was advised against it. Mind you it looks better in one piece. wink

How low is too low? Mine suffered from bump steer until I lowered it to 160 all round, now it's great but scrapes the exhaust quite a lot
