Bonnet hinges - how to replace?
Discussion
When I bought my S2 it had a bonnet hinge that had been bent by someone ramming it when parking. Now, following a 'moment' in the S, this hinge is now wrecked and the bonnet is totally out.
I don't think it is fixable. Do you have to take the bonnet off, grind off the old hinges, and mount a new one? Has anyone done this? Anyone know a spcialist who can make the rapair? And (dreaded question) is it super expensive??
Help me! My S is sick...

Have a look at the hinge, it's very simple construction. Basically a bit of box section welded to the chassis, couple of big plates and bolts to make a slider, tube welded on the end of another bolt to make a pivoty thing (technical term). Should have no trouble getting it hacked off, straightened/replaced and welded back on. Tower View did mine a few years ago after the box section started to sag, don't remember the cost but it wasn't too eye watering.
