Hi all new to the s forum having just bought my first s. I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into it as its a full restro car.

Anyway my question is what colour should it be I can find the ref p422 part of the number but nothing on the other numers 0913
anyone help

ok, if those are no help, the do what I did: I just googled for images other cars of a similar colour to mine around at the time, and found out mine was Jaguar Brooklands Racing Green (only produced for about a year!)

yes GREEN...as it IS the fastest colour....especially if you add go-faster yellow stripes! wink

welcome, i dont suppose you got your TVR S off ebay auction last night did you? i saw one ending with few hours left at around £1,850 for restoration. oh & mines #teamgreen lol

In the war, the fastest Spitfires were painted blue. Never Red.

And what colour did the Campbells paint their world record-breaking vehicles? Never red.

At this year's Oulton Park Gold Cup Meet, this TVR was uncatchable:

Andy, are you thinking of green by any chance?
Well that's just silly silly
Green is just blue with a bit of yellow in it.
Even RED Bull chose the colour blue. As did Dave Richards. This picture illustrates how effective blue can be in competition:
