anyone got any Grey carpet off-cuts?

Looking to remove the rear speakers from my car as I very rarely use the radio and when I do I get bored of it after 5 minutes, preferring to listen to the V8 burble. Does anyone have any of the grey boot carpet that I could use to cover up the speakers. I don't need much, just enough for the size of two 7 inch speakers once I have glassed the holes over.

That's what I did in an S, just the covers. I ended up putting some felt behind the speakers as well so you couldn't see what was behind them.

With all this talk of rear speaker removal I'm now having second thoughts...!!!!

2 stage plan:

1st remove the speakers and glass over the hole, apply carpet patches to inside of boot but leave the speaker covers in place for the interior.

At a later date (next winter) replace the interior carpet.

The reason for removing the rear speakers is to avoid the targa panels rubbing on the lower edge of the magnet when they are placed flat in the boot. I rarely listen to the radio anyway and if I do want to, I still have the front speakers.
