I have seen plenty of 2.8 engines on eBay for less than £100, seems silly to discard what was a nice car for the sake of an engine. Once the bonnet is off changing the engine is childs play.

I asked the seller of this about it:

1) Do you know if the mounting points and the shape/size identical to that of the 2.9 V6 EFI lump? (i.e. could this fit into a Granada?)

2) Where in the UK is it located?

He replied with:
1. Physically, the size should not be a problem, and the mountings are the same. The heads are different, so there will be items like inlet manifold that will be different.

2. Cambridgeshire


Anyone have any idea what the difference is between the heads and manifolds of this lump and a 2.9?
