25mm Anti Roll Bars

Just looking into this winter's S work (mainly electrics) and one outstanding question from last year's rebuild was why has my S3 got a 25mm ARB?

I only know this from buying a standard S ARB bush set from PowerFlex and scratching my head trying to get it to fit!

Was this an option, or after market, or am I wrong, bought the wrong item, and all S's have 25mm ARB's?

I think the short answer is "you need to measure your anti-roll bar!


Powerflex seem to only list 22mm

Superflex list 22,24,26 and 28mm

ML Performance offer 24 or 26mm.


Distinct lack of 25mm !

Recently did my 1991 S3 and it definitly has a 26mm ARB - used Superflex SF0765/26K listed as for a Tvr S and Ford P100 pickup.

Remeasured it at various points and it definitely measures 25mm with my vernier.

I guess my question should have been - did previous owners select different ARB diameters for different purposes, or did TVR change the specification over the production of the S series?

Yes, mine was definitely the factory fit ARB, so TVR must have switched to a more substantial one at some point if earlier models have 22m
