Could these symptoms be anything other than master cylinder?

Hi,
At start of October I was getting a slightly varying biting point on the brake pedal. split the master cylinder from the servo and there was fluid and rusty crud between the two. Sent the pair off servo was tested and given a clean bill of health. Master cylinder has been rebuilt with a stainless steel sleeve and new seals. I have fitted the unit, bled using an ezi bled (and helper pushing the pedal) and have been in a cycle of bleeding and driving ever since. The pedal is still not right. Went out to the garage today and there is a dribble of brake fluid running out between the servo and master cylinder. It has stripped the hammer rite off the servo!
I assume this can only mean one thing - I need to get the master cylinder looked at again? Or could this be something else?

it certainly points to the master cylinder - have a look to see if there is a trail of fluid from any of the connections, both from the reservoir and the outlets as they are the only external fluid connections. If no trace then it is the plunger seals and needs to be returned to the overhauler.

Thanks for the replies. It depends what you call expensive. I thought £110 to get the servo tested and master cylinder sleeved inside with SS + new seals and nice powder coat on the outside was a good deal (considering the alternative of switching to the ford set up £600 at the time). Ka set up did n't fill me with joy given the mention of fouling the clutch master and need for 'bodywork'.
I think I'm going to proceed by splitting the servo and master and having a sneaky look inside. If there is lots of fluid I'll know they need changing.

Or, as mentioned earlier, contact Hans if you're in any doubt about what part fits which TVR.

If the master cylinder is still leaking after the work you've had done, don't throw good money after bad, just buy a new one and fit-and-forget. Any maybe try and get a refund on the work you've already had done? Just put every thing in an email to the guy and tell him you are informing your insurance company of your concerns in case there is an accident. That should get him thinking.Hi, it took me a week but I finally made it into the garage yesterday. First observation was that there was fluid trickling out of the bleed nipple on the master cylinder. No fluid visible trickling out of the join between servo and master cylinder. Split the two all looked dry.
Have tightened the nipple. Now I just need to convince my wife that we need to spend some time bleeding the brakes....
